Question .local resolution issues?
My SSL VPN clients seem to have problem with resolutions of our internal servers that are using the .local suffix. I know that the use of the .local suffix was a problem in the earlier beta version of Astaro 7.x software, just wondering if this is still a "known issue" or has been resolved in the latest version of the software that I'm running, 7.305

.local is used for mdns (multicast DNS), so there might be problems with it.
Check for installed Itunes with bonjour on your PC. Make sure bonjour is not intercepting .local DNS lookup. Mac OS and Suse Linux might have same Problem im looking up .local names.

No iTunes or Bonjour installed on the PC. The system seems to resolve correctly for a while, then "forgets" the name server. Adding a batch file on connect that flushes and then registers the DNS seems to reduce how frequently it happens, but not resolve it altogether.

Extremely frustrating for my users.

Troy, we use mediasoft.local internally, and have never had this problem for aws long as we've had Astaro.
