Default astaro media streaming block
Hi Guys,
Please help me how to block media streaming from the web like NBA.com: FINALS 2009 highlights portion.
I get tired of how to stop my end users browsing media streaming from any sites.

Here's the list of categories I blocked already.
Anonymizers
Blogs/Wiki
Chat
Dating/Personals
Dating/Social Networking
Drugs
Entertainment
Gambling
Gambling Related
Game/Cartoon Violence
Games
Hacking/Computer Crime
Illegal Software
Incidental Nudity

you can explicity block the url under the always "block section" within HTTP/S

Hi,
I want to block media streaming w/c mean content filtering not url fitering.
Hope you get my point.

On the 'Advanced' tab, uncheck "Bypass content scanning for streaming content".

I tried your suggestion but still my end users can access sites which has streaming media,like www.nba.streaming portions. Thanks

Have you tried blocking the "Entertainment_Culture" category?

Kindly check the sub categories I posted above.Do you think streaming could still available after I blocked those categories?

Checking TrustedSource - Check Single URL, I see that NBA.COM - The Game Happens Here is categorized as "sports" - a category not included in your list.

yeah,I want to allow that sites (www.nba.com)but I want to refrain my users to view highlights of every game.I dont want to strictly blocked sports site instead limit those media streaming for mynetwork. Thanks

TrustedSource categorizes URLs, not just sites. Via the link above, you can submit a suggestion that NBA.com - NBA Videos and Highlights be classified as "Streaming Media."
