Default check Failed increment lcd4linux_running

Hi Guys,
I've a ASG110 Release 6.314 running.

Last week an HP printer started to hammer the DHCP service in machinegun rate for no apparent reason.

The Astaro was strugling to keep up, cpu load was through the roof. I had no other recourse then powercycle the box, as it would not react to a clean restart from the gui.

Since then logging helped me to determine the root cause being the printer. Fixed that. Still the cpu load remains fairly high, and the self-monitor log posts:

2010:02:08-17:31:34 (none) selfmonng[2818]: check Failed increment lcd4linux_running counter 1 - 3
2010:02:08-17:31:39 (none) selfmonng[2818]: check Failed increment lcd4linux_running counter 2 - 3
2010:02:08-17:31:44 (none) selfmonng[2818]: check Failed increment lcd4linux_running counter 3 - 3
2010:02:08-17:31:44 (none) selfmonng[2818]: DEBUG: LOGEVENT Name=lcd4linux_running
2010:02:08-17:31:44 (none) selfmonng[2818]: triggerAction: 'cmd'
2010:02:08-17:31:44 (none) selfmonng[2818]: actionCmd(+): '/etc/init.d/lcd4linux restart'
2010:02:08-17:31:44 (none) selfmonng[2818]: child returned status: exit='1' signal='0'

Erm.. this appliance does not have an lcd display..

I'm not in the habit of booting machines when I don't understand why I'm doing this, so..
What's behind this log entry?
Will a clean boot solve this?

Thanks,
Hip

whoops missed you fixed hte printer. What level of support do you have? Might want to contact your reseller or Astaro directly on this one.

Default support Level

Errr.. ehmm... of the expired kind.
BTW.. a reboot did not fix the issue, the box is still trying to fire up the lcd4linux program.
