Default 10 days into demo - license has expired

Downloaded and set up demo.

Shut the machine down to install an extra NIC and I get your license has expired.

Can the demo only use three Nics?

The date is correct, the only clue might be an install in 2008?

Tom

I guess I did not read the install notes?

It appears that the demo is crippled to only 3 NICs.

(Removed the 4th NIC and it worked)

Hmm... I was able to install 7.380 on my home firewall with 4 nics, boot up, log in, run the wizard, and load my config backup.
Dunno if that helps.

Hi Tom,

As Astaro isn't a plug and play system, the drivers and NIC installations/changes are not detected and installed at boot up. If as you say, you added a NIC after you installed the product, just make a backup, re-install with the desired hardware, (which will trigger the hardware installation process again) then restore the backup. There won't be a licensing issue with using more than 3 NICs.

Cheers,

-Angelo

What Angelo said... when installing new NICs, you'll want to backup your configuration, shutdown the system, install the hardware, then reinstall and restore you configuration.

Want to simulate the 120 so I will leave at 3 for now.

I believe the newer 120s have 4 ports now.
