Exclamation AxG 7.404 Soft Release
Greetings,

In accordance with our new way of releasing Up2Dates. 7.404 has just now been released to our FTP site and will propagate to others shortly. This Up2Date will not be "pushed" to all boxes until July 7th, and until then can be installed by downloading the package and applying it manually.

If you have any feedback on the Up2Date, please feel free to post it here.
The main reason for this release is to address a IPSEC vulnerability in one of the open-source packages we utilize which is expected to be disclosed shortly by the various security sites. We also take this opportunity to address 3 bugs.

Remarks:
-Existing configuration will not be changed
NOTE: *System will be rebooted*

Fixed IPsec vulnerability CVE-2009-2185

Bugfixes:
10588 Problems connecting via DHCP / Cable modem
10607 Problems reconnecting to DSL via PPPoE
10633 Conntrack failed error messages in ipsec.log

Angelo, just out of curiosity, what was the problem that caused the DHCP enabled links not to come up?

So far so good. I updated from 7.402 and the install went really fast for some reason. From reboot to all interfaces back up & passing network traffic was probably less than a minute or two.

Yes, it is a really small up2date package (~8MB) so installation should be very fast.

Just to report back:
I've been running v7.404 for about a week now on two different machines and each has been 100% (including the IPSec tunnel).
