Default Astaro not letting me update Firefox

I am unable to update Firefox. The updater is unable to connect to update server. The update server is working. There is no log in Astaro of any dropped packets or blocked URLs. Astaro keeps blocking ports/web sites without any logging. This is making it very hard for me to figure out what do I need to configure. Any ideas on how troubleshoot the problem?

Thanks...

Take a look at the IPS log and the HTTP proxy log.

I don't know if the updates for Firefox really come as .exe files.

But it is not an uncommon problem for updating routines to run into a timeout while their downloads are being scanned by the security gateway. The only way to get this working is usually to configure a scanner exception.

Regards,
Bastian
