Default wan link down on restart

I had a problem on Friday with an ASG 120, my provider (AT&T) must have dropped the connection for a short time (may have been power or something between us and their CO). When they came back up the WAN (eth1) didn't link back up. I am not local to the system and had on of the locals power cycle both AT&T router and the 120 with no good result. I drove out to the location power cycled both devices with no change. After logging in I noticed on the Dashboard page the eth1 State was up but link was down so I navigated to /Network/Interfaces and clicked the gray button right of the green button, waited 20 seconds or so and then clicked the green button again. By the time I could click back over to the Dashboard both state and link were green and we were back on the Internet. To test this out I then went to /Managment/Shutdown/Restart and restarted the system and it did it again, had I not been inside I would have had to drive back over to the location the initialize the interface again. Firmware version 7.305 with pattern 8869 with everything on except FTP Proxy, SMTP Proxy and Email Encryption. This is a demo box with licensing good until December 20 and I am in the process of getting authorization to purchase 3 of these.

No answer to this, eh? I have the same problem at one of my sites. I assume you have a CSU connected to the Internet line? Or what type of connection between your 120 and Internet?

There are a few possibilities depending on the Astaro system and the type of facing device. It may sound odd, but try using a crossover cable instead of a regular patch cable- or try putting a switch between the ASG and the facing device on the problem interface.

Rainman- please conact your partner/reseller or pre-sales engineer for assistance if the problem persists.

If you do contact Astaro on this issue, please let us know the type/manufacturer/model number of the connected device on the problem port.
