Default Regenerate WebAdmin certificate problem

My company has changed its' name.

I've changed the organizational information in WebAdmin and successfully regenerated the VPN signing CA and HTTPS Signing CA to reflect the change. Under Management>WebAdmin Settings>HTTPS Certificate Tab, when I click the Apply button to re-generate the WebAdmin/User Portal certificate, there is no success message and when I download the certificate, it still has the old information.

Behavior seen in both 7.403 on a production box and 7.460 beta.

Will cross post to the beta board.

I think there's another thread or two about this, and that "they" have agreed to change this behavior in the 7.470 beta. I'll explain what I've understood, but I'm ready to be corrected...

There's some confusion about the WebAdmin Cert and the WebAdmin CA. The WebAdmin CA is created when the Astaro is first installed. After that, if there's a new hostname, the CA doesn't change, but the Certificate can. If you want a completely new "identity" for the Astaro, then you must reinstall it. I don't think that the CA is visible to anyone outside the Astaro admins.

OK, that's how I've understood it. Please correct any misapprehensions.

Cheers - Bob

Thanks for the reply Bob.

If it'll be fixed for 7.500, that's good enough for me.
