Default notification smtp
Hello,

I receive notification (web admin failed....) via smtp on my mail.
I don't have mail server... How my astaro can send e-mail?

Thanks so much for your explanation about smtp.

I have 2 asg220 in HA (actif/passif), the notifications by smtp are ok. But I can't receive mail via snmp, do you know why?

I'm not sure I understand your question. SNMP isn't a mail protocol; it's a network managment protocol that requires you run an SNMP manager program. With just two ASGs, I think you will be better-served by just relying on notification by email.

PS You might glance at SNMP Tutorial Part 1: An Introduction to SNMP, but I don't think it's worth really studying it.

sorry my english is so bad...
Yes the notification by mail is runing fine.
My problem is :
I have a host (type : UPS) and I could configure alert snmp on it.
ASG don't have snmp manager program?
Do you know an open source programme?

PowerSNMP is one I've played with, but I'm not an active user.

If you have a supported UPS, the Astaro will send SNMP messages when it is connected, disconnected, when power goes on or off and when the UPS is getting low on battery.
