Default WOL wakeup function over PPTP => internal_Network

Hello after a few tests and tracing about i have the following described problem.

The Astaro has a permanent DSL-Connection on the WAN Interface. On the Internal Network there a PC's with wake on LAN functionality.

Now the Requirement is, to bring up a PPTP Connection with a assigned default PPTP IP- Address (Astaro), it works great. Now with a wakeup Softare Tool I would wake up a sleeping PC in the Internal Network. The SW Tools send a Magic Packet to the Broadcast Address 192.168.20.255 /24 Dest. Port 60000 to wakeup the sleeping PC. But the PC won't wakeup !

If i use the Tool in the internal_network the functionality works, and the sleeping PC wake's up.

I think the problem is that Broadcast Messages won't be routed to the from PPTP subnet to the internal_ Network.

Can Anybody tell me a way how it works ?

My be te problem could be solved with a SNAT/ DNAT Rule ?

Much thanks for you're help.

Regards Wolfgang

Send the WakeUp-Packet from your ASL. That is possible by using a simple
perl-script.

You need a program, that can send WOL - Wakeup calls over a subnet / router!
Try this link: http://www.spettel.de
You can find a GUI and a CMD Version!
Hope this works!
