Default PPTP VPN does not allow radius authentication

Hi,

When I try to add RADIUS group from the list to PPTP VPN it is not allowing me to add. It is adding local users only.

I configured and tested RADIUS under Users->Authentication->RADIUS. I created RADIUS group in Users->Groups. It works fine with User Portal and SSL VPN. I can see in the logs that it successfully connecting to the radius server and authenticate user.
But for some strange reason if I go to Remote Access->PPTP and choose authentication via RADIUS after that I try to drag and drop the same group to the allowed groups list - it doesn’t add. However it can add local users.

It was working before I upgraded from 7.200 to 7.402. (There were no errors during upgrade)

Astaro Firmware version: 7.402

Please Help!

Regards,
Roman

Can you submit a support request to Astaro?

Default Having PPTP Radius Issue as well

Anyone get back to you yet regarding this issue? I'm having the same problem.

Astaro 7.460

When I attempt to make RADIUS the authentication method for PPTP from the drop down it is greyed out.

I can only choose Local. But my RADIUS configuration is working and tested.

You don't need to add anything to the Users and groups when using Radius. It automatically defaults to the RADIUS server, no need to add groups.

I was able to choose Radius from drop down. It was not grayed out. Adding Radius users or groups from the list didn't work that is why I was confused.

If Authentication via: Radius is grayed out I think you have different issue.
