Default Can VPN to site - cannot access Admin anymore.

All has been going well with the new installation ( waiting today for full license to arrive from reseller as I have been running home version).

I can VPN to remote site and use RDC there fine. But I can no longer access the Admin console from a remote access or RDC screen.
When I log in using the Admin credentials I get the following -

"Please wait logging in"
"Do you want to Abort or give another 30 seconds"

I retry but to no login. I then receive an email ( I am the admin contact)

" Successful WebAdmin login from xx.xx.xx.xx. at date/time with username admin"

Assistance much appreciated.

Regards

Applied temporary fix by getting someone on site to reboot the box. It would be good to know what caused the problem.

Default Access problem returns 1 hour later

An hour after a reboot and the Admin console problem returns. SSL VPN to User PC's fine - access to Admin timing out.

Any ideas?

Version of Astaro? Version of browser?

My guess is that your problem appears in the following way: (1) You have a WebAdmin login screen up after connecting to the external interface. (2) You connect via VPN. (3) You attempt to login to WebAdmin.

I normally have things set up so that I have to access the Astaro on the internal interface when connected via VPN. I don't know if it's possible to access WebAdmin on the external interface when connected via VPN.

Cheers - Bob

Default Can VPN to site - cannot access Admin anymore.

Hi Bob - thanks again for the response.

Astaro 7, whatever the latest rev is.

Browsers - tried all - IE 6, 7, 8 - Firefox all recent rels
on 3 different PC's.

To clarify - I cannot access the WebAdmin at all whether utilising direct browser or by connecting via internal SSl connection to a user PC and attempting to connect directly to the WebAdmin console from there.
I am not using VPN at the same time.

Yet if I get someone at the site to reset the PC that the Astaro is intalled on I can connect for probably an hour or so after which when I try I get the login and the timeout.

All other remote VPN connections work fine to the site, all internal PC network and mail and web browsing continue at the site and are working fine as well.

So I can discount hardware as a problem. If it were a browser version etc why does resetting the Astaro box let me log in. I can connect it just times out. The strange thing is I get a successful admin connection email sent to me each time I try to log in. Which seems to assume that the admin console see me a connected.

It is very frustrating.

Regards

Default Can VPN to site - cannot access Admin anymore

Hi Bob -

As this install was only new and was working fine I am wondering if the issues with 7.403 uptodate have affected the operation of the Astaro machine.
I have included a link below. I have been looking through the forum posts trying to identify a similar issue. After reading the related posts I am still not sure how to install the new version of 7.403 that was released last Friday. Any ideas.

I would like to see if changing this will fix my access problems.
