Angry [1.800] Gateway Manager infinite Idle Timeout not working [CONFIRMED]

Hi,

there is no possibility to change the Idle Timeout for the Gateway Manager. Maybe
it's even necessary to have unlimited Timeout because when you use it for managed services,
you have it on a 2nd screen always open.

Regards,
Henrik

But I see the problem, that I'm logged out automatically. Which again is not happening right now.

Henrik

Hi again,

I don't get it: Do you want to have an automatic logout or do you want to stay in forever?

Cheers,
Henning

Sorry,

I want to stay in forever. That's how it should be right now or not?

If that's the case, I had at least once, that I was logged out automatically.

Henrik

Hi Henrik,

No need to apologize ...

Yes, basically that is the way it is implemented. You should be logged out only on specific occasions with a message stating the reason, e.g. because the backend is going down or your access rights have been revoked.

I am curious, did you get a message before you got logged out? Has it happened again or can you reproduce it or give more details when and how it happens?

Thanks,
Henning

Hi Henning,

Just happend again and I didn't get any message. One thing I found
in the httpd.log is the following.

2008:08:01-12:57:01 (none) httpd[17079]: [error] [client 83.x.x.22] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/acc/index.plx", referer: https://acc.pcs-it.at:4422/
2008:08:01-12:57:01 (none) httpd: 83.x.x.22- - [01/Aug/2008:12:56:41 +0200] "POST /index.plx HTTP/1.1" 500 525
2008:08:01-12:57:21 (none) httpd[17081]: [error] [client 83.x.x.22] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/acc/index.plx", referer: https://acc.***.at:4422/
2008:08:01-12:57:21 (none) httpd: 83.x.x.22- - [01/Aug/2008:12:57:01 +0200] "POST /index.plx HTTP/1.1" 500 525

Maybe that helps?

Regards,
Henrik

Hi Henning,

I guess I found the error. If you have the Dashboard open with the Worldmap and
you don't do anything for quite a while and then I click on Threats for example,
I'm automatically logged out.

Please tell me you can reproduce it.

Regards,
Henrik

Hi Henrik,

we haven't yet managed to reproduce it. We will check further. I changed the thread name and reopened the issue. Thanks so far.

Regarding the logfile snippet:

Code:
2008:08:01-12:57:21 (none) httpd[17081]: [error] [client 83.x.x.22] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/acc/index.plx", referer: https://acc.***.at:4422/
No need to worry here, it is related to the push-notification used for instant monitoring. If there is no new data within 20 seconds the POST request just expires and produces this rather ugly message.

Cheers,
Henning
