Default [1.880] No device added [NOTABUG]

Hi,
I've got the problem that no device can register at the ACC (Version is 1.880). Before I used Version 1.401 and it worked without any problems. For networks that should be allowed to register I choosed "any". In the log I found the following:

2008:09:04-17:25:03 (none) accd: 1857363 [0xada31ba0] ERROR libs.io.Session null - send attempted after previous error [device;ip:X.X.X.X]
2008:09:04-17:25:03 (none) accd: 1857363 [0xada31ba0] WARN server.device.DeviceSession null - DeviceSession::clear() IO error during sendDone [device;ip:X.X.X.X]
2008:09:04-17:25:03 (none) accd: 1857378 [0xa88faba0] WARN libs.io.RpcQueue null - RpcQueue::queueIn() parsing failed: expected value at '

and this for each device and every second. Any idea?

Which version of ASG are you using? You need at least 7.3xx to connect to the new version of ACC.

Hello,

snowcrash is right, please have a look at the release notes for ACC V1.9 BETA/RC:

http://up2date.astaro.com/2008/07/pu..._released.html

Supported Astaro Security Gateway / Astaro Web Gateway releases
The following versions of Astaro Gateway are supported:
- ASG V7.3 and higher
- AWG V7.3 and higher

We recommend updating to 7.301 and using the latest ACC V1.9 RC version (1.880). AxG V7.3 features support for both, the old ACC V1.4 as well as the new ACC V1.9 RC. Within the configuration dialog you can choose the type of management server you want to connect to.

Versions prior to V7.3 are not compatible with ACC V1.9.

Regards,
Henning

Hello,

well, then we have to apologize because it was not simple and intuitive enough to switch to the new ACC.

Thanks for your feedback.

Regards,
Henning

I can see 3 devices registered under my WebAdmin but when I log into the gateway with admin username I cannot see them. My admin account and Superadmins group have rights to the gateway.

Hello DarkHelmet,

can you give a bit more information.
What is the message in the WebAdmin under Dashboard > Current system configuration?
Is the user admin in Allowed Admins or in Allowed Users?

if the user admin is in the Allowed Users did you assign him rights to the devices?

Current system configuration

Gateway Manager is active with 5 of 5 device(s)
Up2date Cache is active

Management > Gateway manager > Access Cntrol
admin is part of both groups and currently any network has access

Where do I assign rights to the devices?

Hi,

please do not post or mix different issues in one thread.

We will look into this matter nevertheless. For now, please try the following:

Ensure that the SuperAdmins group or the admin user is only contained in the Allowed Admins group within the Gateway Manager settings. Then re-login to the Gateway Manager with the admin user.

If you want to assign rights for a specific user to certain devices you initially need to do this with an user which is contained in the Allowed Admins group.

Regards,
Henning
