I'm just waiting for the result to know if I need to buy or not a small appliance (not the one from astaro but things like AMD geode based motherboards) for running a dedicated astaro instead of using a xen/kvm instance

edit1: for home user use only , I've already 2 astaro cluster in our DC and 1 astaro server at office

I don't think the Geode is fast enough.
Look at the current VIA stuff or the Intel Atom, or wait for the new AMD or VIA chips.
