Not really a 7.390 feature but I noticed it in this version,

I changed the settings Mail Security->SMTP->Advanced->Advanced Settings
SMTP hostname to: smtp.badkey.com
and all worked like it should be.

PS. Spam Filter works perfect at the moment!

John, did you check your setting on the 'Hostname' tab of 'Management >> System Settings'?
