Default [7.450] QUESTION: First hop in traceroute does not show host

traceroute result missing 1 ***** is it ok or it should show host

Try turning on 'firewall is traceroute visible' and see if that helps.

No Sir , it didnt help BUT when i put my adsl modem in pure bridge mode i am able to get 1 count ,please explain

As u r master in Ethernet,vlan,networking

Hi utm_kid,

this is not an issue at all. I suppose your 1st hop does not respond. Please check this device since in our tests, the output is correct.

Hi Dominic !

Can u please tell me which setting i made wrong (all possibilities )/with same setting when i change my router and interface type to bridge it works fine (public ip to Ethernet external)

ip from router (non dhcp -static ip to external interface )doesnt work

It sounds like this is a problem with your settings, and not a bug. It's too difficult to tell what the problem setting might be. If you want to pursue this, please make some guesses about what might be wrong and run some more tests.
