Default [7.460] BUG: Inittab errors

After installing the 7.460 up2date on each start or shutdown of the system the following messages appear on the console:

INIT: /etc/inittab[67]: duplicate ID field "s0"
INIT: /etc/inittab[68]: duplicate ID field "s1"

Regards,
Bastian

You are paying attention... It only happens on shutdown on console. The error is apparent in /etc/inittab.

I'm really no Linux expert. So I only know roughly what the inittab is for

I'm afraid but my occupation is to be a Windows admin (with all those nice certs *g*)...

This has actually nothing to do with the up2date but is a bug in the installer. I think it was already fixed in 7.460 but I will try to verify.

It is fixed in the development code, but not yet in the installer included in Beta2

Hi,

this has been fixed already in a newer beta. You have the option of reinstalling (7.470 or newer), or you can edit /etc/inittab by hand, removing the duplicate lines. For reference, there is changed /etc/inittab at

http://people.astaro.com/heitzenberger/v7/inittab

Hope that helps.
