[7.460][INFO] New Beta Release - beta2 as 7.460

Greetings Beta Testers! We've released the next Beta version, which is available both as an ISO for "from scratch" installs, the Up2Date package on our FTP, and in addition anyone already running the Beta 7.450 will find it auto-downloading to their existing installation which can then be installed.

This release addresses bugs and stability, and in total resolves/addresses aroound 75% of what has been discovered and reported so far.

Apparently, I wasted two hours last night going back through and testing things listed as "FIXED" during 7.450.

According to Sascha, there's a first-class bug-tracker. Would it be too much to ask to have a list of the known-but-not-yet-squashed vermin in the 7.460 version? I admit that my experience yesterday robbed me a bit of my enthusiasm.

As I said yeasterday, when she needs specific things, my wife gives me a list of what to buy at the grocery store. Often, she'll just say something like, "Don't buy any bananas or celery." Either works, but it's difficult to get motivated to go to the store for her with neither list.

I got the update last night which yeilded some impressive results. No more 404 errors on google pictures, a huge step forward. Secondly the menu on the left side of the admin page now is easier to view on my 23" monitor(1920X1200). The submenues do not over lap and each sub menu is now clearly seen. I am very pleased with the HTTP proxy as i can now use the URL filter to block the advertisment sites. On thing I am still trying to figure out is why the speakeasy speed test shows my download about 200kb slower and up load about 1 mb slower. Possible it is a configuration error. Speakeasy is set as an exception.

I can't agree more with Bob! I think Astaro should give more value to the testers because we are doing free, but very much valued, work for the company! Astaro should never forget this...the community work is the core business....

Since the 7.460 update, I have yet to need to reboot the ASG. Looks like a big jump in stability.

i did this upgrade 7.460 and it solved the problem that with the previous version 7.450. as it totally froze my box after 1 day uptime, i did a fresh install to beta 7.5 with the iso 7.450

uptime with 7.460 is now 2days 17 hours 19 minutes.
