[7.460][BUG][NOTABUG] HTTP Proxy Auth Problem

I just upgraded to 7.460 and I can't get to the Astaro Webadmin, the screen tries for a while, then I get a page load error. I am using HTTP Proxy and Basic User Authentication. I have another computer (Mac) that is in the Transparent Mode Skiplist in Astaro. So Astaro doesn't look for HTTP Proxy from my Mac computer and I can get to the Astaro Webadmin without any problems.

Also, on the computer that does use HTTP Proxy, my Aventail firewall can't connect. I assume this is related to the HTTP Proxy problem.

What are you authenticating against?

The current version of the http proxy appears to have a couple of bugs.

I'm authenticating against users that were setup in Astaro.

I changed operation mode from Basic User to Standard; HTTP Proxy is still enabled. I still have problems, I can't get to astaro admin or my gmail. I think astaro is having problems with all HTTPS web sites.

the browsing is real slow when proxied running profiles.. it needs always around 800ms to find the website classification and other times it ignores my whitelist no matter what i throw at it

hi, could you please give us some screenshots about your settings? Further is maybe the bandwith of the external interface full? You can check this on commandline with:

iftop -i (external interface)

I think the reason I can't get to Astoro webadmin (v7.460) from my computer that uses HTTP proxy is that astaro is an HTTPS page. I can't get to anything that's HTTPS. I just updgraded to 7.47, so later today I'll see if that fixes anything.

A nice feature to think about for debugging would be where you could export all your settings to a text file, then just paste that file to a forum post. You could set it up with a bunch of check boxes to select which sections to export if you didn't want to do everything.

Ver 7.47 has resolved my problem with accessing HTTPS sites while using HTTP proxy. But I still can't get to Astaro webadmin. I can only get to it from my Mac which is listed in the Transparent mode skiplist, I can't get to it from my PC which is using Basic user authentication.
