Angry DynDNS

Hi All,

I've defined the DynDns config as the attached picture and the Uplink Balacing config as the another attached picture also.

As you can see in the DynDns config I set the Assign as "first public IP on the default route".

The issue is that the DynDns get only the IP of the 03 link of the Uplink Balancing, if I change the order of the links the issue continue.

I need the DynDNs get the IP of the link following the below order:

01
02 if 01 failure
03 if 01 and 02 failure

How can I set correctly ?

Thx.

A very interesting question, Marc. Is this a commercial license so that you can pose the question to Sophos Support?

I would think that it's unusual to want to do this - I don't know if it's possible.

Maybe you could tell us "why" you want to do this. Maybe someone would have a more-reliable approach with the ASG/UTM.

Cheers - Bob

You definitely should have your reseller submit a Support ticket for this.

Also, please say the reason you want to do this. What problem are you trying to solve?

Cheers - Bob

Please try these settings for DynDNS:

assign: 'IP of local interface'
interface: 'uplink interfaces'

Hi trollvottel, thx for your answer.

I try your suggest its works perfect, but for our environment will not be apply because one of our routers delivery an 192.168.xx IP to the Astaro, if I use your suggest when this link that get a local IP assume the Uplink Interfaces the REDs cannot be contact the ASG because the DynDNS will add the local IP of the hostname used by the REDs.

I really think to contact the telecom provider to change this configs and make the router delivery a public IP to the Astaro for use your suggest.

But this is a very delay thing to do with the telecom provider.

Thanks in advance if you or anyone have another suggest.

I think one thing now, we start to use Multipah Rules some days ago, may be Multipath Rules can be direction of the DynDNS connection by one Interface ?

One of the Multipath rules direct Web Surfing for one interface if fails to another one if fails to another one.

Can be the Multipath Rules my problem aboyt DynDns ?

thx.
