Thumbs down Adds on right of page.

Ugh Ugh Ugh.

Also they are preaching to the converted. Can these images be removed?

They are intrusive and distracting to the eye. (Which was the intention no doubt).

Seeing as just about everyone on the forums is a current user, I don't see the point in having them.

Hi there guys,

first of all, these are tough times and we need to make sure we can get every new lead and opportunity. We currently get more than 70% of our UBB traffic from Google Organic Search engines. But they also leave again very quickly ans they can not find fast enough what they are searching for.

This was the main reason to add the Sidebar to help them better understand what this site is about and where they can get more information.

We added a Style which registerd users can select either in their profile as default or when logged in in the lower left corner.
Select "Astaro Registered (no sidebar)" and it will be gone.

That's FYI
Regards Gert

Hi Gert,

I'm logged in and can't see what you are referring to. I've gone to the user control panel and can't see this. Nor can I see anything on the LHS at the bottom of the screen.

Any chance of a screen cap that might show where to go. Have tried Firefox and Chrome.

Thanks

The "quick reply" feature doesn't seem to work anymore with the new version/styles.

Using Firefox 3.05 on Fedora.

You need to hit the "Quick Reply" button first to activate it (s. image attached).

FWIW, I don't have a problem with the links on the right... it's Astaro's board, and hey, it is a marketing tool of sorts. I do think it's really cool of them to give user a way to set it so they don't see them, though... that's rather generous, actually.
